Well for the first time in a very long time I have a new portible computer. So as usual you will get to here all the good and bad things I encounter as I get used to it. So which one did I get? The top of the line MacBook Pro 15 inch. Since I only do the upgrade about every 4 years though it was best to get as much computer as possible. Mostly though it was the 250 Gig hard drive that made up my mind on which one to get. The new track pad has some interesting functions that I’m sure will come in handy (like being able to rotate and picture). But having a Intel processor makes life a little easier when buying the newest software. Also with my new job a sales guy I wanted to be able to use Parallels and of course BootCamp to see how well they really work. I have to admit that doing a Boot Camp install on the new computer was pretty painless. Paying for Windows Home and Norton anti Virus software really caused me to wonder why I was doing that to a perfectly good computer. So far the screen is great and the computer really fast compared to my old 12” PowerBook but then that is how it should be. I love having the space for new programs and not wondering how the old System will work with the new software. Most of what I have observed is that I most likely could have done with the next model down and maybe 4 years from now that will be the model I choose.
